Welcome Reception at Cankarjev dom

Slovenia’s main cultural and congress centre, Cankarjev dom is annually visited by half a million art lovers, congress delegates and social event attendees. The venue with 23 multipurpose halls, a maximum capacity of 2,000 delegates in the plenary hall, 4,500 sq. m of exhibition space and state-of-the-art equipment annually hosts over 250 national and international congresses and convention-related events. Situated in the heart of Ljubljana, within walking distance from all major hotels and the city’s attractive Old Town, it was designed by architect Edvard Ravnikar, a student of the illustrious Jože Plečnik and is protected as a national architectural heritage site. Since its opening in 1980, Cankarjev dom has cooperated with similar cultural institutions at home and abroad. In hosting world-renowned artists and scientists, as well international delegates, Cankarjev dom seeks to contribute to the openness of the capital city. It is the first cultural and congress centre that is run according to the principles of sustainability and social responsibility as well as the pioneer of Slovenian urban beekeeping, having had the first four beehives installed on one of its rooftop terraces in spring 2011.

Afternoon Activity at Postojna Cave

Discover the marvellous five-metre-tall bright-white stalagmite and meet the baby dragons while enjoying a private ride on the underground train that will take you on an unforgettable 3.7-km-long journey.
A real challenge for explorers and the cradle of speleobiology, Postojna cave is the world’s most captivating cave in the authentic Karst region boasting towering mountains, murmuring rivers and vast subterranean halls. The temperature inside the cave is constant throughout the year (10ºC), so warm clothing and sports footwear are recommended.

Casual Dinner at the Ljubljana Castle

Gain insight into Slovenian history while enjoying a casual dinner with an outstanding view of the city. Beginning with a scenic funicular ride to the top of the Castle Hill, the entertainment will continue throughout the evening with live music.
A mighty medieval fortress and a symbol of Slovenia’s capital, the Ljubljana Castle is just a glance away from the lively city centre. Built on the ruins of an ancient fort, its main purpose was to defend against Ottoman invasions. Today the splendour of the Ljubljana Castle offers a prominent venue for exclusive ceremonies as well as cultural, historical, and entertaining events.
